"Bridge of Hope" Community Mural Celebration
Tarrytown: June 4th outdoor mural unveiling with fish fry (pescado frito) and empanadas supper to benefit at-risk youth in El Salvador
Please join REPAIR (Rivertowns Episcopal Parishes Action on Inclusion and Race) and Christ Church & San Marcos at the unveiling of a community outdoor mural to raise awareness and support for the advancement of human rights in El Salvador, one of the most violent countries in the world.
The mural, designed by Karen Viola, depicts a rainbow bridge of hope between El Salvador and Tarrytown, with local scenes from both locations included in the background. Local students and community members are participating in its creation.
On June 4th, the 5:00 pm mural presentation will be followed by a $10 fish fry (pescado frito) and $5 empanadas supper from 5:30-7:00 pm. Desserts and other food will be available.
