County Police: Man Attempted to Take Package with iPhones, iPad
The Brooklyn resident faces felony and misdemeanor charges in Ossining.

Lancelot Williams, 29, of Brooklyn, faces charges of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony, and second-degree criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor, in Ossining Court.
Williams was detained by Westchester County Police at 1:30 p.m. March 26 shortly after he approached a UPS driver on Executive Boulevard and attempted to obtain a package that the driver had unsuccessfully tried to deliver to a home on a nearby street, police reported.

Williams claimed to be the homeowner the package was intended for and asked the driver to turn it over to him. The package contained five iPhones and an iPad tablet computer.
Detectives are investigating how Williams knew the items were to be delivered to the local address.

He was remanded to the county jail.
