Michael Tamburino Selected to Daktronics East Region Second Team
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- Starting pitcher Michael Tamburino (Baldwin, NY/Holy Trinity) was selected to the Daktronics All-East Region Second Team after an outstanding season on the mound for the Pace Baseball team. Tamburino was also a Northeast-10 Conference Second Team selection this season as well.

Tamburino posted a record of 7-2 on the season with a 1.48 ERA in 11 starts on the season. He struck out 74 batters in 85 innings pitched, while tossing four complete games. Tamburino ranks sixth in the NE-10 in ERA, ninth in strikeouts and is tied for seventh in wins and tied for fourth in complete games on the season. He is fifth in the nation in hits per nine innings as well as 13th in ERA.
The Setters finished the season with a record of 29-19 overall and won the NE-10 Southwest Division Title with a 17-4 record in division play. Three of Tamburino’s teammates were selected to the NE-10 All-Conference teams, while Head Coach Hank Manning was named NE-10 Coach of the Year.

Panthers Win
Pleasantville's Nicole Gagliardi went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBI and teammate Miranda O’Brien allowed four hits and struck out six in the Panthers' 6-0 triumph against visiting Croton-Harmon on May 16 according to Rob Cristino's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.
Horowitz Homers
Cristino also reported that on the same day Briarcliff's Summer Horowitz hit a solo home run for the Bears in their 22-4 loss against visiting Westlake.
