runner Stephen Shine will be competing in the cross-country federation championships on Saturday Nov. 19 at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls.
"Stephen, only a junior, has ended up as one of the very best runners in Section 1 and New York State," said Cross Country Coach Sean Ryan said. "Stephen is one of only four runners from Westchester County that qualified for this very high caliber meet."

Smith leads Setters men's hoop squad to victory
Sophomore guard Kai Smith registered 17 points and four assists in leading the men's basketball team to a 84-59 triumph against visiting Le Moyne College on Nov. 16.
Winter teams get started this week
If you are wondering why there has been a buzz in the air this week, it's because the Pleasantville and Briarcliff High School varsity and JV winter teams all began practice (except for ice hockey, which began Nov. 7) on Nov. 14 for their upcoming winter seasons.
