I'm currently working with a Pleasantville HS senior on academic writing and college prep, and figured I'd reintroduce myself more broadly as summer prep season approaches. 
 I made a free worksheet for the most common writing problem I see: a thesis that's true but too vague to argue. It walks through three tests (specific / contestable / significant) and the four traps thesis statements usually fall into.
