
The Pleasantville Chamber Music Society opens its 35th season with the Manhattan String Quartet at a free concert on Sunday, Nov. 06, 2011, at 3:00, at the Presbyterian Church, 400 Bedford Rd., Pleasantville, NY.
The program will include Franz Schubert’s String Quartet in A minor, Op. 29, the String Quartet “Ainsi la Nuit” by Henri Dutilleux, and Claude Debussy’s String Quartet in G minor.
The Quartet has been described by the Boston Globe as “a national treasure.” Its members are Curtis Macomber and Calvin Wiersma, violin, John Dexter, viola, and Christopher Finckel, violoncello. Now in its 42nd season, the Quartet has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and South America.

Admission is free and open to the public. Free parking is available at the church and in nearby municipal lots.
