Holocaust Remembrance Day

Please join New York Medical College on May 4 at 5:00 for an evening of discourse and reflection as we observe Holocaust Remembrance Day.

This thought-provoking program will be led by renowned psychiatrist, author and NYMC alumnus, Robert Jay Lifton, M.D. ’48. Dr. Lifton, known for his studies on the psychological causes and effect of war and the themes of holocaust and transformation, will be joined by several other speakers, including Dr. Mark Hasten, chairman of the NYMC Board of Trustees, who endured the Holocaust firsthand, as a member of a Polish-speaking brigade of the Red Army. The Yom HaShoah presentation will be followed by student and audience contributions, a closing prayer and light refreshments. This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP.
