He predicts Briarcliff and Pleasantville high schools will both play in the Class B Final Four at the Westchester County Center in White Plains with the Bears beating Blind Brook for the championship.

Lacrosse Falls to Bentley in NE-10 Opener

WALTHAM, Mass.- The Pace Lacrosse team fell in their Northeast-10 Conference opener as they lost to Bentley 9-2. The Setters fall to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the NE-10, while the Falcons improve to 1-2 and 1-0 in conference play.

The Falcons kept the Setters off the board in the first half as they netted three goals in each quarter for a 6-0 advantage at the break. John Kolesar (Warwick, NY/Warwick) got the Setters on the board at the 11:23 mark of the third quarter as Pace cut the score to 6-1.

Bentley answered with a pair of third quarter goals to lead 8-1. Thomas Earl (North Babylon, NY/St. Anthony’s) scored in the first minute and a half of the final quarter but the Setters could not close the gap as Bentley netted a late man-up goal in the contest.

In net, Kevin Grady (Medford, NY/Bellport) recorded 15 saves in 60 minutes of action in net for the Setters.

Pace returns to action on Tuesday, March 27 when Pace will host Assumption College in their home opener at Pace Field at 3:30 pm.
