Kitchen Fire Closes Flames Bar and Grill in Briarcliff
The blaze broke out at about 12:20 a.m. Sunday.

Customers and staff had to be evacuated from Flames Bar and Grill on North State Road just after midnight April 12 after a fire apparently started in the kitchen of the steakhouse.
News reporters noted the irony of the name.
About 65 firefighters from Briarcliff Manor, Ossining, Chappaqua, Croton-on-Hudson and Millwood briarcliff responded to the scene.

Westchester County’s cause and origin team was called to the scene.
First Assistant Chief Mike Garcia told Fios1news.com that the restaurant suffered smoke and water damage as well. He estimated the cost of the damage at $50,000-60,000.
