  • Farm Hike – 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. There is more to the farm than animals. Join the curator to learn more about Muscoot's trails.
  • Blacksmithing Workshop – 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Take a class with master blacksmith Bill Fitzgerald and make something to take home with you. Additional Date: 11/17. Pre-registration and fee required at (914) 864-7286.

  • Autumn Bird Walk – 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Join us for a brisk walk around the sanctuary to see how our feathered friends are faring.

  • Legend of the Leatherman Hike – 1 p.m. Hear the lore of the Old Leather Man as told by storyteller Jonathan Kruk on this annual 2.5-mile hike. Meet at the Michigan Road parking area. Co-sponsored by the Friends of Trailside Nature Museum.

SUNDAY, NOV. 4

  • Muscoot Farmers Market – 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Shop the many local vendors who offer produce and food products every Sunday through mid-November.

  • Spin’n’ Knit – 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Join this monthly spinning and knitting group. No fee or registration required for first-time attendees; $5 for each subsequent class. Info athilltophanoverfarm.org.

  • Conservatory Tour – 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Tour of the Tropical Rainforest exhibit led by Lasdon's horticulturist. Conservatory weekend admission is $7 adults, $3 children 12 and under; tour is free. Purchase tickets in the Shop at Lasdon.
