Man Accused of DWAI, Marijuana Possession in Mount Pleasant

State Police arrested a 20-year-old Yonkers resident after he was stopped on the Taconic State Parkway's Mount Pleasant stretch.

A 20-year-old Yonkers man was arrested driving while ability impaired (DWAI) and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to state police. Both charges are violations, not crimes.

The man was driving southbound in the Mount Pleasant stretch of the Taconic State Parkway when he was pulled over late last week. Police said that marijuana was found after the man's vehicle was searched and that he also gave a blood sample. He is due in Mount Pleasant's town court on May 9.
