Man Charged with Driving Stolen Vehicle in Mt. Pleasant

A man was arrested for allegedly driving a stolen vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant, according to a press release from New York State Police.
NYSP reported stopping a vehicle at 12:19 a.m. this morning heading south on the parkway for driving with its high beams on.
The vehicle, a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was previously reported stolen on January 17 of this year to the New York Police Department.

Police subsequently arrested Muctarr Fofanah, 35, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree, a felony.
Town of Greenburgh Judge Arlene Gordon-Oliver arraigned Fofanah, a Bronx resident.

He is currently incarcerated in Westchester County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Mount Pleasant Court on Thursday. His bail is set at $1,500.
