Any win is sweet during the season, especially when its against your crosstown rival.
That was the case for the Briarcliff girls basketball squad, which defeated host Pleasantville 33-24.
Leading the Bears to the win on Jan. 18 was Summer Horowitz who registered 14 points. Teammate Brianna Celaj contributed 10 points.
Pleasantville's Anna Marie DiCarlo led the Panthers with 12 points, each coming from behind the 3-point arc.

Mount Pleasant ice hockey
Lucian Orza was great in goal for Mount Pleasant in its game against visiting Rye Town/Harrison Jan. 16 as he made 37 saves, but the visitors came out on top 4-0.
