One Injured in Marble Avenue Accident

A woman was taken to the hospital with injuries this afternoon after crashing her grey Honda Civic into a telephone pole on Marble Avenue.

Thornwood fire and Mount Pleasant police responders at the scene said the crash occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. after it appeared the driver lost control of her vehicle.

The accident took place just past the McDonald's in Pleasantville, prior to the Saw Mill River Parkway entrance.

Traffic was temporarily slowed in the area while the accident was cleared.

By 2 p.m., a towing company helped pull the car, which had significant damage to its front, out of the off-road area where the crash occurred.

The woman's injuries were not specified.
