Overnight Tuesday, Sprain Brook Pkwy Lane Closures

both north- and southbound, between the Taconic and Route 100.

Motorists are advised that overnight lane closures are planned for both the northbound and southbound directions of the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant, Oct. 13, so crews may perform construction activities, weather permitting.

On the northbound side, a single-lane closure will begin at 8 p.m. between the exit for Route 100 North (Hospital Road) and the Taconic State Parkway, expanding to a double-lane closure between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. The lane closure will be reduced to one lane at 6 a.m., with all work expected to be completed by 7 a.m.

On the southbound side, double-lane closures are planned between the Taconic State Parkway and the exit for Route 100 North (Hospital Road) between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Brief traffic stoppages are likely during the closures. Motorists may experience delays and should consider alternate routes.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including work zone signs.

Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
