Softball Sweeps Saint Michael’s as They Even Their NE-10 Record to 11-11

The Pace Softball team, ranked #10 in the first NCAA East Region Poll, swept the Purple Knights of Saint Michael's College 3-0 and 9-1 in five innings in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters improve to 24-14 overall and even their NE-10 record at 11-11.
Natalie Gellos (Seattle, WA/Holy Names Academy) went 4-for-6 on the day with two RBI’s, while Hana Wright (Hillsboro, OR/Valley Catholic) was 3-for-6 with a double and four RBI’s in the two games.

Lacrosse Comes Up Shorts to #11 Saint Michael’s
Matt Mirabito (Binghamton, NY/Broome CC) netted a pair of goals as the Setters came up short to #11 Saint Michael’s College in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Setters fall to 4-6 overall and 3-4 in the NE-10. Kevin Grady (Medford, NY/Bellport) recorded 15 saves in 60 minutes of action in goal for the Setters.
Strong Pitching Leads Baseball to Sweep Over American International
The Setters dominated in the opener as Michael Tamburino (Baldwin, NY/Holy Trinity) tossed a complete game four hitter as he struck 13 in the 9-1 victory. In the nightcap, starter Neil Pezzullo (Harwich, MA/Harwich) remained unbeaten on the season at 5-0 as he tossed eight innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, while striking out four. Pace improves to 19-14 overall, 9-7 in the NE-10 and 7-1 in the Southwest.
Softball Splits With Dominican
The Setters ranked #10 in the first NCAA East Region Poll split a doubleheader against Dominican College, who is ranked #9 in the region. Dominican took the opener 5-0, while the Setters rallied in the nightcap with a 6-5 win. The Setters move to 22-14, while the Chargers are now 26-14 on the season.
