Four sweet dogs who deserve good homes

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — The SPCA of Westchester lets us know about these four best friends:

Hank: This one year old spaniel mix is a sweet, shy guy who's made huge strides in his confidence and is ready to take on the world! Hank came to us from the south with his seven siblings; none of them had been properly socialized in their young lives, which means Hank takes a little while to warm up to new people and new situations.

When he gets comfortable, though, he bonds so well with people. Hank LOVES other dogs, so he's looking for a home with another dog or dogs. He'd do well with kids around 12 and up. Hank is also available for foster-to-adopt. E-mail trainer@spca914.org for more info!

Lucky: Look how gorgeous Lucky is (and judging by how she plays to the camera, she knows it!) This happy girl always has a smile on her face. She loves people and other dogs (but doesn't want to live with cats). She's friendly, playful, and energetic; she's around one year old but still has a lot of puppy energy and is working on her basic obedience.

She'd be a good fit for kids around 12 and up. Lucky would be happiest in a home where someone is around more often than not. To learn more, come meet Lucky or e-mail shelter@spca914.org.

Liam has a very particular set of skills. Skills that make him a dream for adopters like you. Skills like friendliness, playfulness, trainability, and showing off his adorable underbite.

He's a 2 year old bull dog who's good with other dogs. For more info on Liam, e-mail trainer@spca914.org.

Leon: This two year old shepherd/lab/hound mix is friendly, playful, and VERY smart! He gets along well with other dogs, though he can sometimes be afraid of dogs bigger than him (those would be pretty big dogs, since he's a tall drink of water who's 73 pounds).

He'd be a fun playmate for kids around 8 and up. To learn more about Leo, come meet him or e-mailshelter@spca914.org.
