Pleasantville Girls Soccer Receives Sportsmanship Award

The girls varsity and junior varsity soccer teams have been recognized for their sportsmanship efforts during the 2011 season, Athletic Director John Bauerlein announced.

At Tuesday's board of education meeting, Bauerlein noted the recognition came after he reported neither team received any yellow or red cards from referees "throughout the whole season."

"There were a couple other schools, but we were selected randomly," Bauerlein shared. "We're going to get some soccer balls, a pump and a ball bag."
