Pleasantville Hearing on Downtown Master Plan Tonight

The Monday night meeting starts at 7PM

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — The Village Board of Trustees invites the public to its second public workshop tonight, Sept. 20, to engage the Pleasantville community in future land use decisions involving the Village's Central Business District.

The meeting will be held at the Clinton Street Center, located at 1A Clinton Street, Pleasantville, N.Y.
It will begin promptly at 7PM.

The consultants hired to help Pleasantville revise and update its master plan have brought recommendations back to help the village weather the new economic environment. BFJ Planning of New York suggests that 4-story buildings be allowed in some parts of downtown; that residential land-area requirements be reduced to be more in line with other Westchester communities; and that the parking requirements for residential housing downtown be revised. The consultants also recommended that assisted living housing for senior citizens be a permitted use downtown.
