Pleasantville House Fire Deemed 'Not Suspicious'

No cause has been determined yet.

After an afternoon fire on Heritage Drive Wednesday afternoon destroying it completely, at least one woman is left without a home.

While no one was inside 17 Heritage Dr. when it was reported to be on fire at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, extensive damage has led officials to determine the home must be demolished.

"From what I was told, the [Westchester County] Cause and Origin Team has deemed the fire to be not suspicious; accidental," revealed Mount Pleasant Police Chief Louis Alagno, "but exact cause is not yet known...and I'm not sure if it will be determined."
