Pleasantville Irene Update: Avoid Washington, 117, Bedford Roads

As of 9:30 a.m. this morning, the urges residents to avoid driving on Washington Avenue, as well as Route 117 and parts of Bedford Road due to flooding.

There are multiple trees down on Washington Avenue.

Any resident who is seeking alternative shelter should go to the Mount Pleasant Community Shelter, which is located at 125 Lozza Drive in Valhalla.

Police also reported a tree and wires down on Pleasantville Road in front of .

As of 6 a.m., 167 Pleasantville residents were without power, according to Con Edison.
