Pleasantville Police Blotter: Assault Arrest; Missing Construction Signs

Sunday, Sept. 25
3:05 p.m. — A 35-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested on Manville Road. He is charged with Assault in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor.

Saturday, Sept. 24
7:14 p.m. — Police responded to the scene of a reported disturbance at Memorial Plaza. Responding officers reported there was a verbal dispute between parties waiting for the bus. The situation was corrected without incident.

2:11 p.m. — A larceny was reported on Wheeler Avenue. Police filed a report and the case remains under investigation.
Friday, Sept. 23
7:50 p.m. — Police responded to the scene of a reported disturbance on Meadow Lane. The disturbance was confirmed to be a woman playing with her children in the area.
2:36 p.m. — Police dispatched the , and 10 minutes later, the , to the scene of an accident on the Saw Mill River Parkway.
2:13 a.m. — Police responded to a call reporting a large group hanging out on Bedford Road. The group was dispersed without incident.
Thursday, Sept. 22
4:28 p.m. — A party came into headquarters to report a civil dispute involving missed payments for a business. A report was filed.
Tuesday, Sept. 20
3:15 p.m. — Police responded to a call regarding an unoccupied building that appeared unsecured on Washington Avenue. Police confirmed the building was not secure, but did not notice any evidence of trespassing.
3:10 p.m. — Police reported an incident regarding juveniles on Bedford Road. A report was filed.
8:35 a.m. — A Bedford Road woman approached a traffic police officer to report her fence had been damaged. She said a corner piece had been slightly pushed over the top, causing a slat to snap off. A report was filed.
Monday, Sept. 19
8:00 p.m. — A Bedford Road man called police to report damage to his fence. He said it appeared someone had driven through his fence. The responding officer reported one length of the fence was damaged, though he was not sure of the cause. A report was filed.
12:02 p.m. — Police received a phone call from a Lincolndale-based landscaping company employee reporting stolen signage from a site on Bedford Road near Manville Road. The man told police five windmaster signs, including poles and spring stands, along with five additional signs, were taken from the scene. The windmaster signs are valued at $584 each and the other orange signs, displaying a man holding a flag, are worth $160 each, the man reported. A report of the larceny was filed.
