Pleasantville Police Blotter: Car Keyed; Alleged Cyberbullying

The following information was supplied by the police departments. When arrests are noted, they do not indicate a conviction.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from November 28 — December 4, 2011.

Saturday, Dec. 3

3:56 p.m. — A Clinton Avenue resident called police and reported her 14-year-old son had been followed home by a vehicle with four youths inside who were yelling obscenities at him and accelerated toward him on Saratoga Avenue. The teen said he did not recognize the people inside the car and did not obtain a license plate number. The incident was reported for the record.

Friday, Dec. 2

10:25 p.m. — A Bedford Road resident called 911 to report a loud dispute between his neighbors. Police interviewed the man and woman involved in a dispute. The woman said she believed the man needed medical help and the 41-year-old agreed to go to Phelps Memorial Hospital without further incident.

Tuesday, Nov. 29

5:28 p.m. — Police in the in headquarters. The 52-year-old Yonkers man and remains incarcerated in county jail. He is due back in court in January.

4:20 p.m. — A woman reported her 13-year-old daughter was the target of cyberbullying by a female classmate at Pleasantville Middle School. She stated there had been ongoing reports of mean-spirited Facebook posts targeting her daughter, which the school district had attempted to handle, but were continuing. Police recorded the incident for the record.

Monday, Nov. 28

4:10 p.m. — A woman came into police headquarters and reported her son's Verizon cell phone, valued at approximately $100, was stolen out of his locker at  on Tuesday, Nov. 22. She stated the phone appeared to have been used by an unknown person until she canceled it today. Police filed a report of the larceny.

3:30 p.m. — The principal reported an alleged harassment on school grounds. She stated a male Pleasantville student had been verbally threatened by a female Westlake High School student on campus. The alleged victim said he did not wish to pursue the matter. The incident was noted for the record.

11:20 a.m. — A Club Court resident called police and reported her daughter's car had been keyed overnight. She stated an unknown woman had followed her 23-year-old daughter home the night before, but left the area when confronted by her father. A report of the criminal mischief was filed.

9:06 a.m. — A Somers-based construction company employee contacted police and reported damage to a truck being used on Bedford Terrace. The Takeuchi excavator is valued at approximately $15,000. Police filed a report of the criminal mischief.

 

From the Mount Pleasant Police Department:

Friday, Dec. 2 — Police arrested an 18-year-old male at the Pleasantville Cottage School after he allegedly destroyed more than $500 worth of property. He returned to the school following his arraignment..

Wednesday, Nov. 30 — Police arrested a 14-year-old youth after he allegedly knowingly called in a report of a man with a gun at . He was subsequently referred to family court.
