Pleasantville Police Blotter: Missing Jewelry; Unwanted Phone Calls

The following information was supplied by the police department. When arrests are noted, they do not indicate a conviction.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from November 14 — 17, 2011.

Thursday, Nov. 17

12:52 p.m. — A student teacher at reported someone had taken money from her purse at the school that morning. A report was filed.

10:11 a.m. — A disturbance was reported on Columbus Avenue. Responding officers reported a verbal dispute between two neighbors over where one of the parties walks a dog. A report of the argument was filed.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

2:32 p.m. — A Washington Avenue resident called police and reported a car window had been smashed overnight while parked in the driveway. Police filed a report.

10:30 a.m. — A Washington Avenue man came into headquarters to report missing jewelry from his residence. He stated he believes the items may have been taken by a contractor who was working there. Police filed a report.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

7:18 p.m. — A Sales Lane resident called 911 and reported smelling a strong odor of gas. The resident told police she had already contacted Con Edison. Police advised her to wait outside the home and wait for assistance. Police dispatched a patrol officer and notified fire control.

11:05 a.m. — A grand larceny was reported at on Wheeler Avenue. Read more about the incident . Police the suspect.

Monday, Nov. 14

12:48 p.m. — A Guion Street resident reported receiving unwanted phone calls from a family member. Police filed a report.
