Pleasantville Police Blotter: Assault at Bar Leads to Arrest; Laptops Missing from Pace Dorms

The following information was supplied by the police departments. When arrests are noted, they do not indicate a conviction.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from December 12 — 18, 2011.

Sunday, Dec. 18

2:55 a.m. — A man called police and stated a woman had been assaulted in the parking lot behind . Police interviewed four people at the scene who gave conflicting stories. On Monday, Dec. 19 at 5:15 p.m., a 21-year-old Ossining man turned himself into police headquarters for arrest in relation to the alleged assault incident. Acting Village Justice Virginia Collins issued a temporary order of protection in favor of the alleged victim in the case.

Saturday, Dec. 17

4:50 p.m. — A resident called to report a motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of the Manville Road parking lot. Responding officers reported two vehicles were involved in the accident and there were no injuries. A report was filed.

Friday, Dec. 16

12:17 p.m. — A Hobby Street resident called police and stated she had seen a container with white powder on her property and did not want to touch it. She requested police respond to her home and remove the container. Police determined the substance was a construction material and removed it from the scene.

Thursday, Dec. 15

2:54 a.m. — Mount Pleasant Police called Pleasantville Police headquarters to pass on a report of an alleged prowler on Columbus Avenue. On Monday of this week, Pleasantville police arrested a suspect believed to have been involved in the incident. Read more .

Wednesday, Dec. 14

2:22 a.m. — A Washington Avenue resident called police and reported hearing a loud noise nearby. Responding officers reported the noise was coming from MTA workers doing some tree trimming in the area.

Monday, Dec. 12

11:22 a.m. — A Robbins Road resident called police and reported seeing a van with two men driving slowly through the neighborhood and stopping at houses. He stated the van stopped at his house and its occupants got out, entered his driveway and took some photographs. Police canvassed the area with negative results.

Thursday, Dec. 15 — Police received four reports of computer missing from Pace University dorm rooms.

Monday, Dec. 12 — A student reported his Mac computer was taken from his dormitory.
