Pleasantville Police Blotter: Pizza Delivery Employee Allegedly Takes Food, Cash; Bird Fountain Stolen

The following information was supplied by the police department. When arrests are noted, they do not indicate a conviction.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from November 18 — 27, 2011.

Friday, Nov. 25

10:03 a.m. — A Washington Avenue resident called police and reported his 16-year-old son had been followed by a vehicle while he was walking on Grandview and Washington Avenues. He stated an older male was driving the vehicle and fled the scene when the arrived in his driveway. The caller stated the driver did not attempted to speak with the teen and stayed in the vehicle. Police canvassed the area with negative results.

Wednesday, Nov. 23

9:55 a.m. — A Sarles Lane resident called police and reported the top of her fountain was missing from the front yard. She called back at 10:50 a.m. and said her full bird fountain had gone missing overnight.

2:11 a.m. — contacted the Pleasantville Police Department and reported there was an officer at Phelps Memorial Hospital witha  stab wound victim. At 2:51 a.m., responding Pleasantville officers reported the victim, a 20-year-old Briarcliff Manor man, did not have a life-threatening puncture, and was going in for a CAT scan. Tuesday, Nov. 22

8:19 p.m. — A man called police from and reported a delivery person he hired earlier that day had gone on a delivery with food and money and had not returned. Later that night, the man told police he delivery man, a 22-year-old Valhalla resident, had failed to deliver or delivered food late to customers. On Friday evening, the suspect appeared in police headquarters, where he stated there was a miscommunication and he planned to pay back the business. The incident was recorded for the record.

Sunday, Nov. 20

11:34 p.m. — A Bedford Road resident called police and reported she had pulled into her driveway that evening and saw a woman wearing rubber gloves on her porch. The woman told the homeowner she was looking at the residence's windows because planned to install new ones at her home and liked the style. The woman than walked down Bedford Road, where she was interviewed by police officers.

2:15 a.m. — A Pleasantville man called police and reported he had been assaulted inside of Michael's Tavern by an unknown person. He stated he did not require medical assistance.

12:29 a.m. — A member of security called police and requested assistance with removing an unwanted patron from in front of the bar. Police reported the situation was corrected without further incident.

Saturday, Nov. 19

11:16 p.m. — A resident called police and reported eggs had been thrown at a vehicle's windshield when it was turning on to Highview Terrace from Bedford Road. After cleaning the vehicle, the owner reported the eggs had damaged the windshield. A report was filed.

Friday, Nov. 18

6:45 p.m. — A woman called police and reported there was a large group of disruptive youths in Jackson Alley, Police dispersed the group without incident.

Sunday, Nov. 27 — Police received reports of criminal mischief to multiple vehicles in Pleasantville, Valhalla and Thornwood.

Saturday, Nov. 26 — Police responded to an accident on Bedford Road. An 18-year-old driver, from Pleasantville, was arrested at the scene and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
