Pleasantville Police Blotter: Rock Tossed Through Window; Dispute at Auto Shop

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the from October 10 — 16, 2011.
Sunday, Oct. 16
2:00 p.m. — A woman came into headquarters and reported her purse had been taken from her vehicle while it was parked at . She stated she could not recall if the doors were locked, but did not notice any damage indicating forced entry. A report of the larceny was filed.

1:14 p.m. — A Grant Street woman reported someone had removed her patio umbrella overnight. A report was filed.
Saturday, Oct. 15

2:52 a.m. — Police received a 911 call from a Broadway resident who stated someone had entered his vehicle and removed several items in the area of Bedford Terrace and Bedford Road.
Friday, Oct. 14
9:20 p.m. — The detective on duty arrested a 20-year-old Pleasantville man on Cooley Street.
4:26 p.m. — A woman turned in a military ID card she found in the Wheeler Avenue parking lot belonging to a 20-year-old man. Police secured the card in an evidence locker.
Thursday, Oct. 13
9:57 a.m. — A Hays Hill Road woman reported she was at Mavis Tire getting another punctured tire replaced. She said she believes the left rear tire was damaged overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday and could be related to a Sept. 30 incident, where her tires were also damaged.
Wednesday, Oct. 12
4:11 p.m. — A resident called police and reported his car had been keyed while it was parked on Hopper Street on Thursday, Oct. 6 between 2:30 and 10 p.m. A report was filed.
Monday, Oct. 10
2:26 p.m. — A woman called police from and reported a customer was arguing with her husband, who works at the shop, in a threatening manner. When police arrived at the scene, the customer had left. The owner told police the man had purchased a car for $900 four months ago and continues to demand repairs on the vehicle. He stated when he told the man he would no longer provide service free of charge, the customer became belligerent. He stated he would prefer if the man did not return to the business. The customer was contacted by police and said he would not return.
11:22 a.m. — A Romer Avenue resident called police and reported he was having problems with a private contractor working for the school district. He said the company was not abiding by cones blocking the exit from and was getting tar all over his driveway. The responding officer said the issue had been resolved with the school superintendent prior to his arrival at the scene.
8:20 a.m. — A Hays Hill Road woman called police and reported a rock had been thrown through her sunroom window sometime overnight. She stated the act may be related to an when her car's tires appeared to have been slashed while parked in her driveway.
5:44 a.m. — A Hays Hill Road man called police to report a possible fight in progress near the intersection of Hays Hill and Greenmeadow Roads. Police interviewed people in the area who said they were walking home from a friend's house and had a brief argument, but no physical fighting. The incident was reported for the record.
