Pleasantville Police Blotter: Teen Accused of Damaging Peer's Car; DWI Arrest

Sunday, Sept. 18
8:42 p.m. — A South Salem man called police and reported his silver Macbook had been taken from the tent of the 's event in the Cooley Street lot earlier in the day. He stated he left the laptop in a briefcase in the tent near the Cooley Street exit. A security guard told police he saw a man in the area who fled down the street after he was told the area was closed. Police canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results. The complainant said he would contact Apple to try to place a locate on the computer.

1:57 p.m. — A Broadway woman came into headquarters to report a slow leak and flat tire on her car. She stated the damage may be related to an incident on September 6 when one of her tires went flat while parked in her driveway. She stated a piece of 1" metal was removed from the tire. The incident was reported for the record.
Friday, Sept. 16

5:15 p.m. — A woman called police and reported 12 aluminum threads had been taken from her Irvington Street business. She stated the items had last been seen on August 22 and were worth approximately $3,865.50. A report of the larceny was filed.
2:35 a.m. — Police arrested a 21-year-old Scarsdale resident for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The suspect also received five additional citations and the car involved was impounded.
Thursday, Sept. 15
3:44 p.m. — A resident called 911 to report a suspicious solicitor in the area of Martling Avenue and Clinton Street. THe resident stted the man knocked on both her residence's back and front door. Police located the suspect, who was a listed solicitor.
2:38 p.m. — The detective reported a 17-year-old teenager was suspected of damaging a fellow student's vehicle at . The suspect was located by police near the Senior Center on Clinton Street and interviewed by police. The youth was subsequently arrested and charged with Criminal Tampering in the Third Degree.
Tuesday, Sept. 13
6:09 p.m. — A Leland Avenue woman called police to report a loud conversation between a man and woman at the . The responding officer reported there was no problem at the scene.
Monday, Sept. 12
6:20 p.m. — A woman called police and reported a suspicious vehicle with Illinois license plates in the Bedford Terrace parking lot. She stated two subjects with the vehicle approached her and she left the scene. She said their behavior seemed suspicious. The responding officer checked the area and said the vehicle reported was parked and unoccupied.
1:57 p.m. — A man called police to report his son was being harassed by an 18-year-old youth in the village. He stated the teenager spit on his son at school on the previous Friday. The detective contacted the suspect and asked him to cease contact with the complainant's son. The suspect agreed and the incident was noted for the record.
