New film asks: 'Is college worth the high cost?'

From the Westchester Community Foundation:

Westchester Community Foundation’s (WCF) presentation of the documentary movie Ivory Tower at the Jacob Burns Film Center (405 Manville Rd, Pleasantville, NY). WCF partnered with the Jacob Burns Film Center to bring “Community Matters” to the public. The 14th film in the series, will premiere on September 4, 2014 at 7:30 pm.

Every “Community Matters” event entails a public viewing of a documentary followed by a community discussion of local issues, a panel discussion with local experts, and a reception. Ivory Tower questions the purpose of higher education in an era when the price of college has increased more than any other service in the United States. The post film panel will include the president of Manhattanville College, Dr. Jon Calvert Strauss and the President of SUNY Purchase College, Thomas Schwarz.
