Pleasantville Sets 2nd Hearing on New Master Plan

Parking, housing density, assisted living and building height are among the issues to tackle.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — The Pleasantville village board will host its second public workshop on the master plan for the Central Business District on Sept. 20.

The consultants hired to help Pleasantville revise and update its master plan have brought recommendations back to help the village weather the new economic environment. BFJ Planning of New York suggests that 4-story buildings be allowed in some parts of downtown; that residential land-area requirements be reduced to be more in line with other Westchester communities; and that the parking requirements for residential housing downtown be revised. The consultants also recommended that assisted living housing for senior citizens be a permitted use downtown.

The meeting will be held at the Clinton Street Center, 1A Clinton Street, Pleasantville, N.Y. It will begin promptly at 7PM.
