Work continues on the median north and south of the gazebo.

Work to Memorial Plaza gazebo stairs: Work continues to relocate the Memorial Plaza gazebo stairs to align with the eventual crosswalk, new Bee-Line bus stop and the pedestrian walkway that will link Cooley Street and Memorial Plaza. That work is expected to take another 1 to 2 weeks.

Work to northern median in Memorial Plaza: Work to the northern median in Memorial Plaza will be done by the Village's Department of Public Works to align it with the roadway as part of the Manville Road Corridor Improvement Project. The existing trees will be removed, and new trees replanted once this work is completed. The work on Manville Road, between Grant Street and Tompkins Avenue, is anticipated to begin later this spring. For an overview of the Manville Road Corridor Improvement Project, please click here.

Southern memorial plaza median: Over the next two weeks, work will begin to narrow the median from the gazebo south, creating enough space to convert the perpendicular/parallel metered spaces to angled parking spaces on both sides of the Memorial Plaza roadway. Farmers market relocation to southern end of Memorial Plaza: With the planned start of the Manville Road Improvement Project this spring, the Pleasantville Farmers Market will be shifting its operations to the south end of Memorial Plaza starting on April 2.
