A caller to police from Phelps Memorial Hospital reported that a female patient had left the emergency room without checking out on April 7 at 11:49 p.m. They requested police assistance to locate this woman. The patient was apparently involuntarily committed by a doctor to go to Summit Park hospital in Pomona. An ambulance was meant to transport the patient at 1 a.m. but instead she reportedly fled the hospital with her friend in a silver colored SUV Lexus with NY plates. Officers reported being unable to find the vehicle at the time.

From uncovering hidden flagstone paths, to raking leaves and planting annuals. We've participated in every I Love My Parks Day with Parks &amp; Trails NY and NY State Parks since 2012! Partner groups have included the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Mount Vernon Youth Bureau, Yale Alumni, Con Edison, Rye Neck School, Mamaroneck School, Stanford Alumni, the Rye Garden Club, Rye Sustainability Committee and many more.&nbsp;

Join Indigo Goodson-Fields on a bird outing through the Jay Estate's newly designated New York State Birding Trail! Binoculars are not needed but if you have a pair, bring them (there will be a limited amount of shared binoculars available). All ages and experience levels are welcome. 
Indigo Goodson-Fields is a writer, poet, and birder based in Brooklyn. Her forthcoming book, entitled Essential Birding is an anthology about the importance of birding in the lives of Black birders across the U.S. and will be published by OR Books in fall 2026.
