SPCA Of Westchester's Annual Dog Walk, Pet Fair Set

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — The SPCA of Westchester's Annual Dog Walk and Pet Fair will feature as its mascot Benjen, who was a victim of the illegal dog meat trade. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown Heights, rain or shine.
Organizers said this is the largest dog-related event in Westchester County and has a goal of raising $120,000 for the SPCA.

Benjen is known to many who followed his journey from Thailand to the U.S. He's now safe at the SPCA of Westchester and is awaiting adoption.
A labrador mix, Benjen was severely abused and neglected resulting in the loss of one of his legs and was rescued from the illegal dog meat trade.

Participants can enjoy a scenic walk around the park, activities and games for the dogs and children, music, food and more.
Pre-registration is not required. It's a $20 donation for an individual to join or $35 for a family.
