911 hang-up, car lockout and other recent responses in the Town of Ossining.

Monday, Feb. 4
2:22 p.m. — Westchester County Police assisted a woman who locked herself out of her car outside 591 North State Rd.

Sunday, Feb. 3
4:17 a.m. — Westchester County Police responded to a report of a single-car accident on Route 9A northbound at Hawkes Avenue. The driver, a 24-year-old Mount Kisco resident, told officers he fell asleep for a moment, lost control of the car and struck the guide rail.

Saturday, Feb. 2
9:11 p.m. — Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Waterview Drive after receiving a 911 hang-up call. The resident reported she was having trouble with her phone service. County police remind residents to stay on the line with the dispatcher if they dial 911 in error.
9:44 a.m. — Westchester County Police assisted a 32-year-old woman who was injured in a fall at her home on Horseshoe Circle. The Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded, but the woman declined medical attention.
Friday, Feb. 1
4:04 p.m. — Westchester County Police responded to Stanley Avenue on a report that a pickup truck with a snow plow attached was blocking the road. The truck was moved to allow other vehicles to pass.
9:39 a.m. — A resident of Narragansett Avenue reported to county police that she had locked herself out of her home and had left the tea kettle on. An officer responded and was able to enter the home.
Thursday, Jan. 31
6:30 p.m. — Westchester County Police Officer Nicholas Ramundo issued summonses to three persons for Soliciting Without a Permit, a violation of a town ordinance, after he observed them going door-to-door at the Spring Pond condominiums on Spring Pond Drive. The three said they worked for a private company that was retained to sell Verizon Fios service in the area. They are due to appear in Ossining Town Court on Feb. 17.
