Town of Ossining Police Blotter: Missing Bricks; Lewd Acts

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety in the Town of Ossining from March 13 to 17, 2013.

Sunday, March 17

3:21 p.m. — A resident of Ridgeview Drive reported to county police that someone removed some bricks from a stack of bricks on his property that he was using to build a retaining wall. The bricks were located on a neighboring property and returned.

10:39 a.m. — An anonymous caller reported to Westchester County Police that “lewd acts” were possibly occurring inside a car parked at Ryder Park. An officer found a man and woman sitting in a vehicle and talking.

10:13 a.m. — A Westchester County police officer on patrol observed that the stop sign at the exit ramp from northbound Route 9A to Cedar Lane had been knocked over. The state Department of Transportation was notified.

4:16 a.m. — Westchester County Police issued five summonses to vehicles that were parked overnight on Ganung Drive in violation of the town’s seasonal parking ordinance.

Saturday, March 16

 1:18 p.m. — County police received a report of an injured deer along Incognito Way. When an officer arrived, the deer ran off into the woods.

Thursday, March 14

11:01 a.m. — County police responded to a business on Sunset Drive after an employee received a call soliciting donations for a possibly fictitious law enforcement charity. The call came from a phone that blocked the phone number and other identifying information.

Wednesday, March 13

4:02 p.m. — An officer on patrol came upon telephones wires that had come down on Reeback Drive. The officer removed the wire from the road, secured it with caution tape and notified Verizon.

9:02 a.m. — Westchester County Police responded to a home on Ridgeview Drive to assist a man who took a fall in the basement and injured his arm and ribs. The Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded and transported the man to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow.
