Trump's Westchester Club Fired Illegal Workers During Shutdown
A lawyer for the workers is calling for an investigation into the Trump Organization's use of undocumented workers.

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — The Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff fired a dozen of its veteran workers Jan. 18 because they were illegal immigrants. The club had dealt with bogus paperwork for years for the Latino workers who were fired, according to a report from The Washington Post.
Eric Trump told the Post in a statement that the Trump Organization was auditing its employment records.
The firings in Briarcliff Manor came a month after news broke about illegal workers at the Trump golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

The Post reporters met with many of the workers at apartments in next-door Ossining, where housing is more affordable.
Their lawyer, Anibal Romero, who is also representing fired workers from the New Jersey club, is calling for an investigation into the Trump Organization's use of undocumented workers, according to The Journal News.

Romero told Patch in December that he provided fraudulent green cards and Social Security numbers to the state Office of Attorney General that management at the club allegedly used to hire his clients, Victorina Morales and Sandra Diaz.
Romero also said he has also spoken to the FBI.
Trump also has come under fire for hiring foreign workers on seasonal visas at the same time that his administration is cutting back on other US companies' ability to use H-2B visa program.
