10 Port Chester Students Selected for All-County Bands

Port Chester students from King Street Elementary, the Middle School and the High School have been selected to participate in the annual Westchester County School Music Association’s (WCSMA) All-County Band Festival, held at SUNY Purchase on Saturday, March 14, 2014.

The elementary and middle schoo students chosen were fifth grader Bennett Segal, trombone, sixth graders Nicolas Arnel and Sophia Reis, trumpet; and Callie Schultz, clarinet. They will perform with the Elementary All-County Band, which encompasses grades four through six, and their school music teachers are Michael Miceli and Linda McDermott.

The middle and high school students are seventh grader Lindsey Co and eighth grader Isabel Sanchez, xylophone; and eighth graders Michael Fallanca, baritone saxophone and Darby McDermott, flute. They will perform with the Intermediate All-County Band for grades seven through nine, in addition to ninth grader Taylor Masi, clarinet. Another ninth grader, William Brakewood, trumpet, will perform with the Intermediate All-County Orchestra. Linda McDermott and Robert Vitti are their school band directors.
