The University of Hartford says Daniel Pilke of Port Chester has been named to its Dean's List for Spring 2012.
Chartered in 1957 with the mission to be a "private university with a public purpose," the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT, offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs in the arts, the humanities, business, engineering and technology, education, and the health professions. The University's student body of 7,200 represents 48 states and more than 60 countries.

Stephanie Sherry, a member of the class of 2013 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, earned term honors for the spring semester. She is the daughter of Donna Sherry of Rye Brook, and Mark Sherry of Brooklyn.
Term honors are awarded for a quality point ratio of 3.650 from a possible 4.0, for students who have completed 14 credit hours.

Skidmore recognizes academic excellence in several ways. In addition to earning term honors based on work completed each semester, a student may be elected to the Skidmore chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college that enrolls approximately 2,400 students.
Local students named to Dean's List at The University of Scranton
The University of Scranton has announced it's Dean's List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2012 spring semester:
Jillian McGowan of Port Chester is a senior management major in Scranton's Kania School of Management
Megan McLaughlin of Rye Brook is a sophomore exercise science major in Scranton's Panuska College of Professional Studies
Luke Vitagliano of Port Chester is a junior counseling and human services major in Scranton's Panuska College of Professional Studies
The University of Scranton is a Jesuit university located in northeast Pennsylvania.
A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List. The list includes students from the Jesuit university's College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education. More than 1,470 students were named to the 2012 spring semester Dean's List, including the following area residents.

The following local residents were named to the dean's list for the Spring 2012 semester at Quinnipiac University:

To qualify for the dean's list, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits, including 12 that have been graded A through C in a semester. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester to be eligible.
Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. The university enrolls more than 6,000 full-time undergraduate and more than 2,000 graduate students in 53 undergraduate and more than 20 graduate programs of study in its School of Business and Engineering, School of Communications, School of Education, School of Health Sciences, School of Law, Frank H.
