The Angie Rubino Band is set to perform at Lyon Park July 9th to bring in the grooves of the summer. This is the first of nine concerts hosted by Port Chester Parks and Recreation Friday nights this season. The shows will extend throughout July and into August both at this location and at the Byram River waterfront.
This group who is based right in our own community has six members, including female vocalist Ann Rubino, drummer, guitarist, two saxophone players, and keyboard/bassist. Angie Rubino is the lead singer as well as sax player. The band will be performing a wide range of musical styles from the 1940's to the 90's. Their repertoire includes a wide range of songs, such as "I Will Survive," and "In the Mood."
The selections will also include big band dance tunes, soft rock, Doo-wop, and Latin pop.
