Howl-O-Ween In The Park Returns To Rye Brook

Organizers said the event is fun even if you don't have a dog. Besides, you could adopt one.

RYE BROOK, NY — Howl-o-ween in the Park returns to Rye Brook Saturday, Oct. 28 in Pine Ridge Park. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is presented by the Village of Rye Brook and the Humane Society of Westchester. Organizers said you shouldn't miss one of the most fun events of the year. Many new activities and demonstrations are planned.

Bring your dog in costume for a fun morning that includes:

  • Service dog demonstrations (explosive sniffing & search/rescue)
  • “Ask the Trainer” resource- come with your questions!
  • A dog parade that includes prizes to the 3 best dog costumes.
  • A “selfie” station for pics with you and your dog.
  • Local Girl Scouts with donuts and refreshments available.
  • Pet Adoptions available from the Humane Society.

Even if you don’t have a dog come anyway for a fun time or to consider adopting a dog from the Humane Society.

Event Schedule:

  • 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. — Dog Parade Registration
  • 11 a.m to noon — Professional Explosive sniffing dog demonstration and Search and Rescue dog demonstration
  • 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. — Dog Parade & Prizes
  • Throughout the Event — “Ask the Trainer,” “Selfie Station” & Pet Adoptions
