• Heavy rain triggers water rescues across Westchester County (news12.com) — Port Chester saw serious street flooding Sunday, with Boston Post Road turning into a river and emergency crews rescuing drivers from stranded cars. Village workers had cleared drains beforehand, but the mayor says the intense, fast-moving downpour overwhelmed the system and vows continued work on flood mitigation. Nearby Rye also reported at least one water rescue. 
• NY reveals $22M in housing grants for Mid-Hudson region. See where (thetimesherald.com) — Port Chester's former United Hospital site is being transformed into Westchester Crossing, a massive development of about 1,000 apartments plus a hotel and shops, backed by a $10 million state grant. The project is part of Gov. Hochul's Mid-Hudson Momentum Fund, which is steering $150 million to communities that commit to adding more housing and easing local shortages.
