Pleasantville Resident's Death Ruled a Homicide
The elderly woman had been dead for several days before her body was found, police said.

The body of a 76-year-old woman was found in her Pleasantville home Oct. 30.
Now the Westchester Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled that her death is a homicide, Westchester County police said this morning.

Her body was discovered by Pleasantville police after a mail carrier reported several days worth of untouched mail at 79 Grandview Ave.
The county Department of Public Safety and the Pleasantville Police Department were scheduled to hold a media briefing on the investigation with Commissioner George N. Longworth and Pleasantville Police Chief Richard Love.
