Police Blotter: Incidents Around Port Chester

Teens at marina, mystery man, drug violation.

Port Chester police reported several incidents investigated by village officers:

- A 21-year-old California man was cited for marijuana possession, a violation, after he and another man were stopped for questioning on King Street at 4:41 p.m. Monday.

Police said a village officer spotted one of the men smoking from glass pipe, and as he approached the men he could smell marijuana. Police found the Mecca, CA, man was found to have a small bag of marijuana in addition to the marijuana he was smoking.

- A Port Chester couple told police they spotted someone peering into the window of their second-floor apartment on South Regent Street at 1 a.m. on Monday.

The couple said they were in bed at the time an noticed the man. When they went to the window to investigate, they saw a man on the rear balcony of the entranceway to their building. The man, when confronted, jumped to the roof of another building and then jumped to the sidewalk to make his getaway.

Police searched the area but could not find the man.

- Two 15-year-olds from Port Chester were brought to police headquarters on Monday after they were found among the boats at the Port Chester marina at 1:04 a.m.

Police said the boy and a girl were found after someone reported seeing using a flashlight at the marina. Nothing was taken and no boats were damaged.

The teens were released to their parents.
