Police find man with bloodied hands on Irving Avenue

A 42-year-old Port Chester man is charged with third-degree criminal mischief after he smashed the windshield of his estranged wife's car with his fists, according to Port Chester police.

Village police officers came upon Jorge Guevara of 14 Grace Church St. on Irving Avenue at about 3 p.m. on Sunday and found that his hands were bloodied and the windshield of a nearby car was smashed.

Police said Guevara was angered at his estranged wife and pounded on the windshield of her 2008 Nissan until the glass shattered, doing $300 worth of damage. Police said a dispute erupted after Guevara's estranged wife went with a friend to pick up food.
