Port Chester, Developer Continue Negotiations on Waterfront Walkway Repair
The bulkhead behind the Costco in the village is in disrepair and currently closed.

While the bulkhead behind the Costco in Port Chester remains in disrepair, the village and the developer, G&S Investors, still have not ironed out how the waterfront walkway will be fixed, but the two sides are negotiating.
The bulkhead’s seawall has collapsed in some spots and much of the walkway is closed, but G&S continues to receive $70,000 per month from the county under a lease deal, reports The Journal News.

The two sides have been talking for years about the situation, and Port Chester is not looking to sue over the project because of the expense and likelihood of losing, Mayor Dennis Pilla told The Journal News.
In the meantime, the village has received bids from companies looking to repair the bulkhead, and officials will review them and figure out a course of action over the next several weeks.
