Port Chester Police: CT Man Hit With Grand Larceny Charge In Equipment Theft

Power washing gear taken at Home Deport worth more than $1,000.

A Fairfield, CT, man was charged is accused of grand larceny in connection with the theft of power washing equipment from the Port Chester store, according to Port Chester police.

A 30-foot section of hose and a nozzle, both used for power washing, taken at 3 p.m. Thursday are valued at $1,083, police said.

Steven Kucsma, 51, of 50 Nichols St., Fairfield, CT, was arrested after Home Depot store personnel saw him put the hose and nozzle into the box for another piece of merchandise and then leave the store without paying for it, according to police.

Kucsman, charged with fourt-degree grand larceny, a felony, faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
