Port Chester Store Workers Thwart $1,099 Theft Attempt

Alert workers at a Port Chester store were able to stop an attempt to steal at new baby stroller worth more than $1,000, according to Port Chester police.

Workers at Buy Buy Baby, 441 Boston Post Road, noticed two men in the store at 7:42 p.m. on Wednesday were trying to take a stroller out of the store. When questioned about it, the men told employees they were returning an item and were going to get it out of their car.

When the men went outside, police said, they got into a Cadillac Escalade and drove off. The stoller is priced at $1,099. No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
