Port Chester has set a public hearing on similar legislation.

RYE BROOK, NY — The village trustees of Rye Brook approved a ban on commercially bred dogs and cats, and Port Chester has set a public hearing for similar legislation.
While there are pet stores in both communities, none of them sell dogs or cats, lohud.com said, making laws precautionary, according to local official.
