Student Makes Digital Threat Against Port Chester HS
District officials asked parents to use the incident as a teachable moment.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A student who made a potential threat against Port Chester High School Monday was removed from the school. A message posted on the district website said, “it was brought to our attention late [Monday] that a minor-aged student posted a potential, non-specific digital threat towards Port Chester High School.
District officials said that all threats such as this one are taken seriously, and police were immediately notified.
The individual was identified as a student at the high school.

“That individual has been removed from the school and will face consequences consistent with the District Code of Conduct and New York State SAVE legislation,” the message said.
District officials asked that parents use the incident as a teachable moment to ensure their children use social media safely and responsibly.
