Thank you to all the wonderful, dedicated volunteers who brought Jonah and his brothers to Tails of Courage kennels last weekend. Everyone says that Jonah should have the following sign on his kennel run: WARNING!! CUTENESS ALERT!! Jonah is a 9 week old male Pomeranian mix that arrived with his brothers and mama this past weekend. Jonah’s mama is named Ariel and she is only about 2 years old and HOUSE-TRAINED! She is posted at www.tailsofcourage.org along with all of her puppies. But, please be warned that each puppy is cuter than the last (except that Jonah may be the cutest). Jonah is neutered, has all his age-appropriate vaccinations and is micro-chipped.

Jonah’s mama, Ariel, is a Pomeranian mix also and was a stray in Kentucky. She was found by kind rescue workers as she was desperately trying to care for all her babies. Their journey began in Kentucky where a bevy of dedicated volunteer transporters nestled Ariel and her pups into crates in their own cars and vans and drove the family, along with other homeless mamas and their pups, by caravan to Connecticut. The volunteer transport drivers met the next caravan of drivers at specific locations along the way, and the families were unloaded and reloaded, as each segment of drivers took them into their care. Finally, they reached the last leg of their journey when incredible transport volunteers from Tails of Courage loaded everyone into their own cars and vans for the final stretch of the long trip into Danbury, CT.

Jonah and his family would not be alive today if it weren’t for the selfless acts of these transport “angels” who protected Jonah and guided them throughout the journey. If these little homeless creatures could talk, they would certainly say THANK YOU from the bottom of their little hearts.
The Connecticut veterinarians who took care of them worked tirelessly throughout the week and Jonah and his family are ready for adoption. The next great Tails of Courage Adoption Event is this Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Choice Pet Supply, 67 Newtown Road, Danbury, CT, in the Berkshire Shopping Center, close to Walmart, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. This is the FIRST Tails of Courage event at this location and we hope that everyone turns out to show their support.

Pebbles, Sophie, Jasmine, and Rachel all got adopted last week/end. HURRAY for them. Now, it’s Jonah’s turn to get adopted too. But, BEWARE, because Jonah is almost too cute for human eyes!
